CONFIRMATION - May 04, 2025

On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, our parish was filled with joy and gratitude as nine candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation, administered by Bishop Alwyn. It was a day of deep spiritual significance and community celebration.

Family, friends, sponsors and parishioners gathered together to witness this important moment in the lives of the young candidates. The atmosphere in the church was reverent yet filled with excitement, as each candidate took this meaningful step forward in their journey of faith.

EMERITUS BISHOP ALLWYN D'SILVA led the ceremony with grace and warmth, blessing each candidate with the sacred chrism oil as a sign of their full initiation into the Catholic Church. The presence of the Holy Spirit was felt deeply as the candidates stood in commitment to live their faith more fully and courageously.

After the service, the church grounds echoed with heartfelt congratulations, joyful laughter and proud moments shared between loved ones. Photos were taken, memories were made, and the spirit of unity was truly alive.

We also celebrated a very special occasion, The 50th Golden Jubilee of Priestly Ordination of Bishop Allwyn. A small but heartfelt celebration followed, where we thanked him for his years of faithful service to the Church. It was especially meaningful for our parish, as Bishop Allwyn had visited us years ago and remained close to our hearts. His presence on this day made the occasion even more memorable.

To our nine Confirmands: may the gifts of the Holy Spirit guide you every step of the way. Your faith, courage, and commitment are an inspiration to us all.
