2. Vianney Sunday is celebrated today. Wishing all priests – a very Happy Vianney Day.
    

3. Today’s [Vianney Sunday] collection, at all masses, will be towards the expenses of the Clergy Home and the sick and retired priests. So please be generous with your contribution.
    

4. The Bombay Catholic Sabha unit of our parish in association with Zynova Shalby Hospital, Ghatkopar will conduct a Health Checkup Camp today Sunday, 9th August 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. at the KG Hall. The camp is open to all parishioners and members of other faith in your areas. Around 6 types of check-ups will be available at the registration fee of Rs 20/-per person for all tests together. Further details will be displayed on the notice board and parish WhatsApp groups. Parishioners unable to pay the registration fee may contact the BCS members. Kindly spread the word.
    

5. August 10th is the feast of St. Lawrence, Deacon and Martyr.
    

6. August 15th is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and India’s Independence Day. Please note the Mass timings.
   - 6.45 a.m. Mass in Konkani
   - 7.30 a.m. Flag Hoisting
   - 8.30 a.m. Mass in English
   - 9.30 a.m. Mass in Tamil.
   There will be no evening mass on 15th August.
    

7. The Bombay Catholic Sabha will be distributing Recycled Plantable Tricolour Wristbands during the morning masses on 15th August. These can be used to plant marigold, basil and wild flowers when soaked in water. The unit will also distribute small saplings in limited quantity on the first come first basis.
    

8. A One Day Retreat in English is organized by the Charismatic Prayer Group of Holy Cross Church, Kurla on Saturday 15th August 2026 from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in the Church. The retreat will include praise and worship, talks, intercession, adoration and will end with the Eucharist. The registration fee is Rs. 100/-. To register your name and for further details please refer to the notice board.
    

9. Prison Ministry Sunday will be celebrated on 16th August 2026.
    

10. Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) meeting will be held on Saturday 22nd August 2026 at 7.45p.m. in the Holy Family Conference Room.
     

11. Kurla Deanery Youth Day will be held on Sunday 23rd August at 4.00 p.m. at Don Bosco Institute, Vidyavihar. All youth of our parish are encouraged to participate in it. Kindly register your names with the parish deanery youth representatives before 16th August 2026.
     

12. Divine Word Retreat Ministry is organizing one -day Children’s Retreat in English for children between 8 and 13 years of age on Wednesday 26th August 2026, at Atma Darshan Chapel, Gyan Ashram Campus, Andheri East. For more information and contact details, kindly refer to the Notice Board.
